Job Description

The role
The Data Scientist is responsible for turning raw data into valuable insights that an organisation needs in order to grow and compete. They interpret and analyse data from multiple sources, using their strong business sense along with an ability to communicate findings to both business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organisation approaches a business challenge.

Key accountabilities

  • Using a combined knowledge of computer science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths to solve problems
  • Extracts data from multiple sources
  • Sifts and analyses data from multiple angles, looking for trends that highlight problems or opportunities
  • Communicating important information and insights to business and IT leaders

Qualifications

Skills & Experience
• Understanding of the programming languages
• Degree in Statistics/Maths or Computer Science
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal in English
• Excellent team work skills
• Innovative thinking skills
• Interest in predicting trends and identifying patterns
• Strong business acumen
